The Yorkshire Post Business of Excellence Awards 2023 recently took place in Leeds, where #colour-coating specialist Kolorseal Ltd contributed to the sponsorship of the event alongside Openreach and Leeds University Business School.

The occasion saw Kolorseal’s Managing Director Deborah Hendry celebrate alongside the winners at this sell out annual gala dinner. Over 300 people attended the black-tie dinner which recognises and rewards a broad section of Yorkshire businesses, all of which play a vital role in the economic success of Yorkshire.
Winners celebrated with Amy Garcia, news presenter on BBC Look North who presented the awards to diverse companies from across the region. Naturally, Geri the Kolorseal Giraffe Mascot joined in the celebrations by hosting the photo booth for the occasion.
This year, David Kilburn from building supply company MKM won the top award of Outstanding Contribution To Business.
The building supply business was launched by Mr Kilburn after he was made redundant at 50. He went on to co-found the Hull based firm that now generates a staggering £800m p.a.
